Stephen Carmichael's New Single My Heart

The day has finally arrived! After months of hard work slaving away on my laptop asking questions like should the drums be 1bd louder, and I need more space in the mix, and it doesn't build enough in the choruses I'm proud to release my new single titled "My Heart!"

It's been an extremely long 3 and a half months but I've made it! I started writing this song on April the 16th (2010) and I uploaded a demo for you all to listen to and to 'review'.

I want to thank everyone who took the time to lend me their thoughts on how to improve the track!
and I have to note three important people who helped me tremendously!

First of all thank you to Kiri Jenkinson who helped me perfect the lyrics. Thank you to producer Daniel Taylor who gave me is pearls of production wisdom and helped me perfect the 'mixing' side of things.

But the biggest thank you of all has to go to Jay Echeverria who is actually featured on the track!!! Thanks to Jay I have some awesome electric guitar parts (with his signature sound) in the mix. He also sung some of the backing vocals...

Once again It's been a long journey but it's been worth it! It's already in the process of being uploaded to iTunes and almost every other online store (tunecore assures me it will be before August the 14th).

But, If you like you can listen to the song and maybe even purchase a copy of it from here:

I need your help

HI I just uploaded a new song called My Heart. It's still in working progress. I've decided to do something different for this release. Instead of just posting the final version of the song, I'm going to keep you up to date with how the song progresses. But here's the catch. I want your help. Have a listen and let me know what you think needs fixing, developing, basically any thoughts you have let me know...

I want this song to be perfect.

Starry Eyed Cover - Ellie Goulding

what a week it's been! I've been battling uni assignments, work, trying to have a social life and some how I manage to find time to keep my music alive.

To prove to you that I've still got it(!), I did a quick cover of Starry Eyed by Ellie Gouling. I really love this artist! She's made her debut into the industry I think Jan this year (don't quote me on that) but her music is extremely fresh!!! Finally there's some good music to spice up the pop industry!!!!

I heard this song on the radio (I think it was nova) one night after work.

but anyway, I think this is a really beautiful song...and Ms. Gouling is a very unique artist and I think she's going to hit it big in Aus...

featured as an artist on IMRadio

I wanted to let you know that I've been selected as a featured artist on Im radio!!!! woot! that's really exciting for me...

Here's there home page address where they put my photo on the slider thingy :-)

Say. Say. Say - Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson Cover

Oh and man I love this song!!!! It's by far my fav at the moment!!!!

a really interesting idea from my architecture reading.

I'm currently doing my architecture reading and I came across this really interesting point. it's related to being successful

it says:

'Reaction is essential to progress and enemies as valuable as asset in any forward moement as friends, provided they are honest; if they are intelligent as well then they are invaluable.'

I totally get this! enemies will tell you if your work sucks. then you can grown and learn from this knowledge...people close to you will lie about your work in order to not offend you.

3OH!3 - STARSTRUKK ft. Katy Perry cover

Hey what a week it's been. I've just started uni again for the year and that's really exciting and scary at the same time. I don't think I'm ready for all the stress architecture brings. oh well. gotta go with the flow...

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I've finally uploaded the vision of me singing STARSTRUKK by 30H!3. Man I love this song! this took me absolute ages! it really did...

I did about 25 takes when shooting and in the video I used about 15 or 16 of them. Intense!!! the editing took for ever...

The challenging thing was, on the day of filming, I had to work at 3. so I only had half a day to film (considering how late I get out of bed!) and it was one of the most hottest days ever...hahaha. so in the heat - and stressed for time - I can't believe I managed to complete this!...especially some of those dance moves...man I didn't know how much work dancing can be!! haha

so I think that sums it up...

I'd love to hear your thought. maybe some suggestions for future videos. or ideas to make my videos better. remember I'm only new to this filming thing...
